Like every business, it is imperative to have a strategic plan and a business model that defines your business infrastructure. In that same breath when building a successful blog you must apply the same tactics. Some important links in my blogging blueprint:
1) Time: It's the biggest factor in developing a blog that has traffic and creates revenue. Blogging requires planning, content and marketing and all of these elements require the appropriate time allotment.
2) Content: With anything in today's atmosphere, blogs must stay on topic, they must be relevant and they must be updated rather frequently. Don't leave your readers hanging.
3) Quantity: Quantity is two fold. In my opinion the most important quantity that bloggers should focus on is the number of blogs they produce. This is important for creating revenue. It also adds pages to your online searches. At the same time the volume of readers is almost as equal. Because the numbers drive the ads. As I continue to build the infrastructure of the Innovative Blogging-preneur I'll go more in depth on these three topics.

Twitteresque Thought 2
Is it the Wrong Time to Start a Business?
I think not, for a few reasons. Let's see:
1) We make more calculated risks that focus on the conservation of our resources.
Face it in this economy we are looking at our wallets more now than ever. When I had an online radio broadcast (a year ago), the primary reason I decided to discontinue the service is because I was paying for a good service, but did not receive the return on my end. Now that I think about it, it would have been more productive for me to start a social network (on a free platform such as Ning) and promote my show and play music that way until I established the following that would have been beneficial for the broadcast. If I was still interested in continuing the broadcast, this would be the strategy that I would implement... if I had more exposure to Web 2.0 when I launched the broadcast, I'm sure this cost efficient strategy would have paid off in the long run. No money out of the pocket until there were subscriptions in the "bank".
2) We are more strategic with our partnerships and alliances, focused on productivity and efficiency.
I was watching a web broadcast on You-Tube (unfortunately I don't remember who posted it) which was on transitioning your business to survive economic hardships. The first thing that was stated was "trim the fat". Look at your current contacts and partners and stay in contact with the ones that are always productive. "Don't focus a lot of your time trying to create business with contacts who have not performed for you in the past", because time is also a resource that needs to be used adequately.
3) We conduct more research which provides essential data needed to streamline our services.
I Google and search Wikipedia for everything. When I need more detailed information and feedback I start discussions in various groups in various networks and I'm not the only one. I constantly meet entrepreneurs who are constantly looking for information which will streamline their cost and innovate their products and services.
4) Potential clients are more focused on increasing their utility for a nominal fee, so services that they entrusted with more established company's may be outsourced to a startup if the startup can prove that they can provide the service effectively and efficiently.
Enough said.
5) Web, Internet, Social Networking, Blogging, Micro-Blogging...Need I Say More!
We're in the realm of free publishing and face it the web is the new face of public relations. So if you establish a presence on multiple platforms you are extremely likely to connect with individuals and businesses who can use your services or products. So if your out there keep grinding. If you're not, what are you waiting for create your client base online!
So if you are considering starting a business and wondering if now is the time, I say yes! If not now then when. You have all you need, get rid of doubt and move forward!

Collaboration is the new skill we all must master to build relevant, cost effective services in 2009. To be a consultant, means to parter not to be the sole provider.

Creating Your Voice
I am still growing as a blogger and am trying to expand my voice. But I discovered that to expand it, I must establish a true tone for this blog. Yes, it's true that this blog, this journal is a chronicle of developing an online stream of income by blogging. I know that it is not a jackpot and that it won't make me "rich" overnight, but I estimate that if I increase my blogs and use my social networks to there fullest potential, I can defiantly break ground within 6 months. Blogging is two fold for me, it's an income generator and a Google optimizer (more to come on Google).
So as I learn more about marketing my blog, I will share that information. However, I also want to add a layer of information about the economy and maintaining green (money) through what has inevitably become a recession. Additionally, I'd like to research the sustainability of other businesses and industries: What makes a company/ industry recession proof? Should the government regulate the economy by implementing policies (bailouts) or should we wait for the invisible hand and allow the market to correct itself? These are just a few topics I will address in the days to come.
The economy is in a futile state and information is more valuable now than ever. Information exchange is extremely important. There is a high demand for innovative thought and creativity. So this is the voice of the Innovative Blogging-preneur... always thinking of innovation and conservation in this red economy...stay tuned...relevant information forthcoming. ..

Ping It!
I've been talking with Social Network Marketing professionals on LinkedIn and one had a question about streamlining their networking processes on line. I recommended Ping.fm which was recommended to me by Vincent Hunt. Pinging is a way to broadcast micro blogs. It is used to direct traffic to your sight and communicate simultaneously on multiple platforms. It has tremendously streamlined my marketing efforts and instead of going from network to network copying and pasting information, I can write one message and broadcast it among my various profiles.
So tell me about some Pinging sites?
Ping.fm (http://ping.fm) is the site that I am truly familiar with. It is extremely user friendly which is great for beginners.
I am still investigating the following:
1) Ping Goat (http://pingoat.com/)
2) Ping feedburner (http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/ping)
3) Google Blog Search Ping Service (http://blogsearch.google.com/ping)
Why? Well, not only do they broadcast to social networks, but they also broadcast to Google, Yahoo and other search engines. In this game, it's all about exposure. So Ping It!

Google This!
I really optimized my Google presence. Do you want to know how? Let's see, I started with joining various social media networks (example: Myspace, Facebook & LivePerson) . Secondly, I stayed somewhat active in my networks and some of the ones that I don't use anymore, I will never delete them because they are apart of my presence. Thirdly, whenever I blog, I tag two versions of my name: Jonnette Fair and Jonnette S. Fair. So Google me, and if you want to increase your presence simply these three techniques. Let me know how the work.

My Squidoo Experience
Earlier this week I set up my first Squidoo account. I am still trying to figure out how to navigate through it, but so far I'm enjoying it. Squidoo is a site that allows you to develop numerous pages about anything you'd like to discuss online. For business purposes, it is excellent for testing new ideas and services. As any web tool it take time to attract new quality followers, but if updated frequently with useful information, the people will come. Two additional reasons for using Suidoo is optimizing your Google Search and earning a little extra Green for the wallet. I encourage all readers of this blog to get an Squidoo account and create as many lenses (webpages) as your heart desires. So far, I have two lenses: http://www.squidoo.com/blogging-preneur (for this blog of coarse) and http://www.squidoo.com/givinginaredeconomy (on ideas and organizations to give to during this holiday season)
Innovative Blogging-preneur: Who am I?
Life is full of moments that make or break your will. In a month (with God's blessing), I will be giving birth to my first child ( I feel a mommy blog in the mix) and with that I have decided to to search for new opportunities that are both fulfilling and challenging. In years past, I was passionate about writing: poetry, songs, books...I journalized everything but as I stated before a moment came and broke that will in my life. So it's a new day and time to write with a new focus, a new desire, a new cause.

To influence these changes you must creative and "think outside the box", adapt to the changes as they emerge. Even be preceptive enough to anticipate change and have tools and services.
